The house offers plenty of privacy, even though there are other homes nearby. It has its own driveway, entrance, veranda, and courtyard.<\/p>\n

The spacious garden is shared (with the Dutch owners) and is part of the 5.25-hectare estate. Montignac \/ Lascaux<\/span><\/span><\/h2><\/span>[vc_column_text animation_delay=”0″ css=””]\n

Montignac\/Lascaux is a beautiful medieval tourist town on the River La V\u00e9z\u00e8re, just 2.5 km from your holiday home. The town is world-famous for its main attraction: the prehistoric cave of Lascaux. The original cave is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and can no longer be visited, but it has been replaced by Lascaux IV, where you can get an excellent impression of large parts of the caves and their impressive paintings.<\/p>\n

Prehistoric life is presented at Parc Le Thot, near the Ch\u00e2teau et Jardins de Losse on the way to Les Eyzies.<\/p>\n

Montignac is built along the River La V\u00e9z\u00e8re and offers many restaurants, including several right by the water. Shops, bars, an ice cream parlour, and the weekly markets (Wednesday and Saturday) create a lively atmosphere. You can also enjoy a beautiful canoe trip on the river, choosing how long you would like to paddle. It is a 20 km away from Montignac and reachable via the scenic route D704. Sarlat is named the pearl of the Dordogne and rightly so! It is a facinating city with medieval architecture and a bustling cultural center. A year round market is held on Saturdays featuring fresh local products, quirky trinkets, beautiful jewelry and clothes. What you definitely need to experience is a trip to the “march\u00e9 des producteurs” during the months of July and August. It is an exceptional market where, French, English and Dutch come together to enjoy the delicious regional flavors and wines. You choose your own meal and drink and allow the locals to prepare it for you on a large barbeque . Bon app\u00e9tit!<\/p>\n

They are als known for the Vide-Greniers: the fleemarkets and the Brocantes: the antique and curiosities markets. These markets are regularly held in the many communities of the Dordogne. Enjoy a day wandering about the markets to return home with a special purchase or just to have a peak.<\/p>\n
